Time... Not something that we have a lot of. Between work, social life, family, children, parents and all the other things that suck up what little time we have... we end up with a small slice of this precious commodity for ourselves. It could be the hour before bedtime every night, the time between brushing our teeth and getting to bed, the few minutes we stop between work and home every evening or the scant hour at the end of every week.
For every person it's different.. Anyone with more things that demand their attention would have a lot less time on their hands. A persosn working with an office that adopts flexi-hours and a very considerate boss would have much more time for themselves (I wish I had this kind of job!). The only thing that's the same for everyone is we would like to spend the time we have to ourselves as best as we can right? In so many cases that seems to be catching up on sleep or resting and resting and resting... What about the thing we always wanted to do? The drive to our favorite restaurant for a fine evening or catching that late show on tv. Do we have the energy to do anything that we want in our free time? How come? Work and family saps everything out of you?
That's where health comes into the picture. With optimal health.. energy is in abundance and we could focus on work, family and life in general much better! Imagine being alert and focused at the office and the result is you settle your work way before the time to go back. Then you could stretch out your work the next day and have the pressure taken off you. Going back home after work and having all the energy to entertain family member. Catching that midnight movie with some colleagues and going to work on energised and on time the next day. That's a wonderful idea right?
So how do we achieve this level of energy that would allow us to enjoy our time as best as we can?
